About this site

The Brookline Resilient Youth Team (BRYT) is a school-based clinical intervention operated by The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health. Founded in 2004 at Brookline High School, BRYT supports students whose learning is disrupted by serious mental health conditions or medical challenges.

BRYT operates as a Tier 3 intervention within a multi-tiered system of student supports. The program is embedded directly in schools and provides clinical care coordination, academic bridging, and peer connection to help students stabilize, re-engage with their education, and return to a productive school routine.

Today, BRYT serves more than 250 schools across six states and reaches over 66% of Massachusetts public high school students. The program has been recognized with the American Psychiatric Association Gold Achievement Award and the National School Mental Health Champion Award, and it partners with researchers at UMass Chan Medical School to strengthen its evidence base and implementation model.
